What must I do to qualify?

  • You must register and create a profile for your KID.
  • You must be the legal guardian of your KID. By entering the competition you warrant (represent) that this is the case.
  • Your KID must be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old by the closing date of 6 September 2016.
  • This competition is only open to South African residents.
  • You must provide a photograph (maximum of five photos) of your KID. A video is optional, but encouraged. Also provide the personal information requested on the registration page and add some background information for the profile.

How old must my KID be to take part?

Your KID must be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old by the closing date of 6 September 2016.

How do I enter?

  • Click here to enter your KID. You can only enter 1 KID per email address and cannot enter the same child more than once.
  • Complete all required information including a photo of your KID.
  • All registrations (entries) are bound to an approval process.
  • Once your form (entry) is submitted you will receive an email within 24 hours informing you as to whether your entry has been approved. This email will also contain the link to access your KID’s profile on the website. You can at any stage log in and add to your KID’s profile.

Is there a charge to enter this competition?

No. The myMOSTbeautiful.com contest is free to enter.

What kinds of photos and videos should you upload?

  • A minimum of one and a maximum of five photos are required.
  • Photos may not be larger than 5MB and only JPG, PNG or GIF formats are accepted.
  • Videos are encouraged, but not compulsory.
  • A direct video link to a video on YouTube or Vimeo needs to be provided.

What do I do if my photo is not uploading?

Make sure of the following:

  • The photo is not larger than 5MB
  • The photo is in JPG, PNG or GIF format
  • You have sufficient data/airtime to upload the photo from your phone

If the ‘Choose File’ button is not working on your mobile device please try to register on a desktop computer or laptop instead.

How many KIDS can I enter?

You can enter as many KIDs as you want as long as they’re between the ages of 3 and 6 years BUT each KID has to be entered using a different email address.

You cannot enter the same KID more than once.

What do I do if my registration doesn’t go through?

Please ensure that the photo is 100% uploaded before you click on the “Send” button.
Please ensure that you have good connectivity, and retry.

How can I edit or change information on my kid’s profile?

After your entry has been approved you can log in and add more photos as well as edit certain information. Note that you CANNOT change the name of your KID.

If you’re viewing the site on your phone, go to the menu button at the top and select “Login”. You can then log in with your email address and password that you entered during registration. If you’re not viewing the site on your phone then click on the “Login” link at the top and login with your email address and password. Once logged in you can add more photos and edit certain details that you entered during registration.

How can I add more photos of my KID?

After your entry has been approved you can log in and add more photos.

How do I share my KID’s profile?

Navigate to your KID’s profile page and click on the ‘SHARE ON FACEBOOK’ or ‘SHARE ON WHATSAPP’ buttons.
Alternatively you can copy your kid’s URL and share on any platform.

Note that if you change your profile picture after sharing, your old picture will still be available online.

How do I vote?

You vote by SMSing the profile name of your KID, example “Peter1”, to one of the shortcodes listed on your KID’s profile page. Ensure that you use the correct shortcode associated with your KID’s profile. For example, please don’t use “Peter” if your KID’s code is “Peter1”.

There are three voting options available with three different shortcodes:

  • R3 for one SMS, which counts as 1 vote – use shortcode 35009.
  • R10 for one SMS, which counts as 5 votes – use shortcode 38850.
  • R30 for one SMS, which counts as 30 votes – use shortcode 42002.

Please note:

Free and bundled SMS packages can not be used.

How many times can I vote?

You can vote as many times as you like and so can your family and friends.
You can easily share your kid’s profile with them from your kid’s profile page.

Note that free or bundle sms packages cannot be used for voting purposes.

What are DOUBLE DAY and TRIPLE DAY voting?

Double and Triple day voting dates are NOT set out beforehand and will happen sporadically. We will notify you of these days via email/sms/Facebook/website notifications.

If you vote on a DOUBLE DAY you’ll get 2 x the amount of votes withing a 24 hour period of 12am to 12am.

On DOUBLE DAYs your voting will count as follows:

  • R3 for an SMS, which counts as 2 votes – use shortcode 35009.
  • R10 for an SMS, which counts as 10 votes – use shortcode 38850.
  • R30 for an SMS, which counts as 60 votes – use shortcode 42002.

If you vote on a TRIPLE DAY you’ll get 3 x the amount of votes withing a 24 hour period of 12am to 12am.

On TRIPLE DAYs your voting will count as follows:

  • R3 for an SMS, which counts as 3 votes – use shortcode 35009.
  • R10 for an SMS, which counts as 15 votes – use shortcode 38850.
  • R30 for an SMS, which counts as 90 votes – use shortcode 42002.

All voting will be captured automatically and we will not be held accountable for delayed sms messages. We will only count what is received within that specified 24 hour bracket with absolutely no exceptions.

When does voting and registration start?

Registrations and voting will open on 11 July 2016. Registrations will close on 22 August 2016 and voting will close on 29 August 2016. This means that the earlier you register, the more time the public, your friends and family will have to vote for your KID. Voting for the Top 50 will take place from 29 August 2016 to 5 September 2016.

When does voting end?

Voting towards the Top 50 ends on 29 August 2016. Voting towards the Top 10 ends on 5 September 2016.

Can I see how many votes my KID has?

No, you cannot see how many votes you have because the votes are counted and independently audited by our auditors Marx Gore CA (S.A.). We are only provided with the positions of the contestants at the end of the competition and not the amount of votes cast per contestant in order to run a fair contest.

Do voters also get a chance to win?

YES! We will be giving away fantastic hampers and cash voter prizes. All voter prize winners will be announced on our Facebook page and contacted via email and phone.  We are giving away 10 x R1000 cash voter prizes. See our Facebook page for these giveaways as dates are not set out and it will be announced on Facebook.

How do I use a voucher code?

For those who received a voucher from any of our media partners, please redeem your coupon/voucher by navigating here and follow the instructions.

You will receive no notification of the code redemption via mobile or email but it will automatically be added to your total vote count.
All vote counts are done by our chartered accountants, Marx Gore and all voting numbers are confidentially held by our mobile partner, Clickatell.

I don’t live in South Africa. Can I vote?

Voting is limited to South African residents only.

What can I win?

We are giving away R 151 000 in cash prizes as well as R 10 000 in voter prizes and many more Facebook giveaways.

The R 151 000 will be divided as follows:
1st Place: R 100 000
2nd Place: R 15 000

The voter prizes will be 10 x R 1 000 cash prize giveaways. ANYONE can win a voter prize if they have voted for a kid, you do not need to have a kid entered in order to win these 10 prizes. The voter prizes will be announced via Facebook, email and website.

We have numerous other prizes that we will randomly give away on our Facebook page as well as added to our winner cash prizes.

How are the winners chosen?

The Top 50 entries are determined by public voting.
The Top 10 including the winner are determined by public voting (80%) and by the judging panel (20%).
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

How will the Top 50 be announced?

On 29 August 2016, the Top 50 will be displayed on the website and all contestants will be notified via the email used to enter the competition.

A Top 50 finalist can be disqualified and replaced by another finalist if they don’t respond within seven days to our notification email.

How will the Top 10 including the winner be announced?

The winners will be announced on 6 September 2016 after 12PM (noon).

The winners will be announced as follows:

  • The winner will be contacted telephonically
  • The Top 50 will be emailed
  • The winner will be displayed on Facebook
  • The Top 10 will be displayed on the website
  • The Top 10 will be emailed.

What do I do if I forget my username or password?

Your username is the email address you used to enter the competition.

What do I do if I can’t find my KID’s entry on the website?

In order to access your KID’s profile page, please go to the gallery page and insert your KID’s name followed by their associated voting code into the search box. For example: Peter1, Peter2 or Peter3.

What do I do if I do not receive a confirmation SMS when I vote?

Please check if you have sufficient credit if on a pay-as-you-go. Check if your handset settings allows for shortcode SMSes, if not you need to change your settings. Check if there is good network coverage in your area. If the problem still persists contact your service provider for assistance.

What do I do if I spelled my KID’s name incorrectly?

Unfortunately your KID’s name cannot be amended once you’ve registered.

Will my details be used for future marketing campaigns?

Your details can be used in future direct marketing campaigns, but only with our direct sponsors and ourselves. They will not be shared with any other 3rd party. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe from these campaigns.

Why is my KID’s photo not on the My Most Beautiful Facebook, YouTube or Instagram pages?

The KIDS will be chosen randomly, so your KID may or may not be shared on Facebook.

Is this competition a scam?

We know you’ve seen the prize money and thought, “this is too good to be true!”, but rest assured that this is our second year running and we gave away R101 000 in cash prizes. View our previous winner here and our 2016 BABY winners here.
