Eniwe Children’s Fund is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of children orphaned and/or underprivileged in South Africa.
They work with local communities to facilitate both short and long term sustainable projects and business ventures to ensure future benefits for the children of the community through education, skills, as well as improvements in basic health, safety and security initiatives. These sustainable strategies empower the communities to better care for their orphans and vulnerable children.
It is vital that both the emotional and physical needs of these vulnerable children are accounted for in ways that will provide them with hope for a better future – because we know that hope is imperative for change to occur.
They’re involved in various projects across Cape Town including a home for 6 foster kids aged between 2 and 15 years (with an additional 6 kids from the community) in Vrygrond; an educare centre for kiddies aged 2 – 5 in Nyanga; they build new homes for child-households in Khayelitsha; and they’re involved with feeding schemes in Gugulethu and Grabouw where over 150 hungry school-going children get a warm and nutritious meal every day.
